LAHORE: The Orange Line train will officially be launched for the public after test-runs from today.
The train will be inaugurated for the trial run by Punjab Minister for Transport Muhammad Jehanzaib Khan Khichi.
The project is expected to open doors for the general public by March 2020.
In its initial test run, this train will complete 27 kilometers of distance from Ali Town to Dera Gujran in 45 minutes.

It will pass through the congested areas of the city where more than 250,000 passengers travel on a daily basis.
The project will connect Raiwind, Multan Road, Mcleod Road, Lahore Junction Railway Station and the Grand Trunk Road.
The project is expected to facilitate more than 350,000 passengers every year.
