RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has dismissed Usman Dar’s interview as unimportant while giving a statement on the departure of the former special assistant of the Imran Khan era from the party.
According to the details, PTI called Usman Dar’s interview ‘old wine in a new bottle’ and said that Dar was in the custody of unknown kidnappers for 24 days, then appeared on a private TV channel.
Spokesman PTI said in his statement that the presence of Usman Dar on the private channel has undoubtedly exposed the kidnappers themselves. Former Special Assistant Usman Dar forcibly disappeared from Karachi on September 10.
In the statement, a PTI spokesperson said that Usman Dar’s family members, including his mother and brother, gave several statements and messages on enforced disappearance which are part of the record. During the last 5 months, the police raided Usman Dar’s residence.

The PTI spokesperson said that the raids, mistreatment of the mother and other family members, and the locks on Usman Dar’s factory and residence are in front of the entire nation. The nation saw the signs of physical and mental violence and oppression in Usman Dar’s trembling voice.
The party spokesperson says that Usman Dar’s hesitant body language and incoherent thoughts also indicate physical and mental violence. The interview given after 24 days of enforced disappearance, 5 months after May 9, is not important in the eyes of the public.
He said that Usman Dar’s interview had no legal status. It is feared that similar tactics will be tried on other kidnappers including Sadaqat Abbasi, Farrukh Habib, and Sheikh Rasheed. “More such dramas will be aired. I sympathize with Usman Dar,” he said.
“We feel Usman Dar’s commitment to the party,” said a PTI spokesperson adding that Usman Dar himself has testified to the innocence of Imran Khan and the public support available to PTI. According to him, the country should not be exposed to dull dramas and movies.
