ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) issued a power suspension program for Monday for various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO Spokesman, the power supply of different feeders and grid stations would remain suspended for the period from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM in Islamabad Circle, Upper Topa, Patriata, TDCP, Mandala, NCP, Desto, Shahdara, Old Bri Imam, Shahpur, University, Mangyal Feeders,
From 07:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Islamabad Circle, Rahara, Chhata Bakhtawar, Tramari, Lahtrar Road, Wahidabad, SES, Fazal Ghi, NDC-1, H-11/4, I-10/2, New Exchange, Kidney Centre,Dr. AQ Khan, Islamic University, Bahria University, G-10/1,2 & 4, G-9/1, CWO, Dhok Najo, Raja Sultan, Eid Gah Feeders, Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, Kohala , Mourat Feeders, Rawalpindi City Circle, Azizabad, People’s Colony, Dhok Chaudharyan Feeders, Attock Circle, Shakurdra Feeder, Chakwal Circle, Daulatala, Dera Muslim, Rama, Nishan Haider, Feeders, Jhelum Circle, Sarai Alamgir, Fatehpur, Chhapran, Shukrila, Mandi Bhalwal, Military College, Shamsabad, Abbaspura, Ajmal Shaheed, F-7 Kachhari feeders and surrounding areas.

On the other hand, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) is continuing its operation against power theft and has charged 64 customers involved in power theft with a detection bill of 102,263 units worth Rs 4,657,542.
IESCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan said among apprehended connections there were 58 domestic, six commercial, and one agricultural connection.
He said that electricity thieves were harming the country’s development, economy, and future of the next generation. “They don’t deserve any kind of mercy” he added.
He said that by following the directives of the prime minister and the Ministry of Energy, a comprehensive and indiscriminate anti-power theft operation is continued in all operation circles of the IESCO region.
He said that the officers and staff members were giving their best to make the campaign successful. During all operations, he said, the full support of police with teams has made the drive against the power thieves successful and added that applications to register FIRs against the accused have been given in police stations.
He said that an investigation was underway to find officers and staff members providing assistance to power thieves.
