Several flights have been delayed at the Katachi airport after the temporary closure of the main runway due to the Biparjoy cyclone.
As per reports, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority: PCAA’s shows almost every flight is delayed forcing passengers to wait for hours.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorm in Mumbai on Tuesday as cyclone Biparjoy has turned into an ‘extremely severe cyclonic storm’, and it is expected to make landfall in Karachi today.

An extraordinary situation has arisen in the province owing to the threat of the cyclonic storm, which is moving near the southeastern coast of the country.
The tropical cyclone of extremely severe intensity is currently present in the Arabian Sea at a distance of 550 kilometers from Karachi and 530km south of Thatta and will pass somewhere between Keti Bandar, Sindh, and Gujarat, India on June 15.
