SRINAGAR: BJP-led government has imposed a ban on students wearing the hijab in Occupied Kashmir after Karnataka and other states.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the government led by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi imposed the Hindutva agenda of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the schools of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Hijab students of Vishwa Bharati School located in the Renavari area of Srinagar were prevented from entering the school. The students were told that if they want to wear hijab, then go to madrassas instead of schools.

During the protest of the students, the school administration said that they had received these orders from a superior officer. Despite the protests of the students and their parents, the school administration did not change its stand.

In a conversation with the media, the students said that we cannot be stopped from covering our heads. Practicing religious teachings is our fundamental right. Who is the Modi government to deprive us of this right?
