ISLAMABAD: Earthquake shocks have been felt in many cities of the country, including the federal capital and Peshawar, which spread fear and panic in different areas.
According to the details, the tremors of the earthquake were felt in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab. The Seismological Center said that the intensity of the earthquake has been recorded as 5 on the Richter scale.
Earthquake tremors were felt in many cities of the country including Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Dir, Abbottabad, Malakand, Haripur, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Attock.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 36 km underground in Upper Dir, the Seismological Center said. Due to the earthquake, panic spread among the people. People came out of their houses reciting Kalima Tayyaba.
It should be noted that earlier, the Seismological Center said that earthquakes of magnitude 5.7 were felt in the cities of Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
At the beginning of this month, earthquake tremors were felt in Peshawar, Swat district, North Waziristan, and Islamabad. Earthquake tremors were also felt in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
The European Seismological Center said that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center of Pakistan, the depth of the earthquake was 187 km, but no casualties were reported.
