TOKYO: Japan’s leading trading company along with its Irish partner company has offered to sell Russian oil and Nigerian LNG to Pakistan at 35 percent less than the global market.
The representative of the Japanese company has offered this to the ambassador of Pakistan in Tokyo, the meeting was held through the well-known Pakistani businessman based in Japan and the president of the Pakistan-Japan Business Council, Rana Abid Hussain, in which the representative of the Japanese company made the offer to the Pakistani ambassador in Japan. The Japanese representative told the Pakistani ambassador that his Japanese company and its partner company in Ireland have a license to sell Russian oil and Nigerian LNG and if the government of Pakistan is interested in buying oil and gas, the Japanese company would be interested in buying the oil and gas. It can sell both items to Pakistan at 35 percent less than the market.

Pakistani Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar said on this occasion that Pakistan can consider this offer while adhering to international laws, for which we will inform the relevant departments of the Government of Pakistan with all the details of this offer and if there is a response from Islamabad. If received, the Japanese company will be informed.
Regarding this offer, President of Pakistan Japan Business Council Rana Abid Hussain said that Pakistan is currently suffering from a serious economic crisis, Pakistan’s large foreign exchange reserves are being spent only on importing oil and gas, so if international laws allow Therefore, Pakistan should not have any problem in purchasing cheap oil and gas keeping in mind all the international laws.
