LAHORE: Technology experts have suggested that major experiments in artificial intelligence should be stopped.
According to international media, 1,000 experts and people associated with technology companies have signed a letter in which they have warned about possible dangers and said that the race to develop AI systems is out of control.
The letter, also signed by Elon Musk, owner of the micro-blogging website Twitter, and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, suggests that building an effective artificial intelligence system should be abandoned.

The letter recommends that large-scale artificial intelligence experiments that pose a threat to humanity be stopped and that research be conducted to make artificial intelligence more efficient, safe, and reliable.
