LAHORE: The Indian Cricket Board has rejected Pakistan’s proposal to hold Asia Cup 2023 in two countries.
The Indian board official said that the Asian Cricket Council will not consider holding the Asia Cup in two countries. It is not financially possible to hold the event in two countries and doing so will increase the budget, the Indian board said.
The board official said that if the ACC says that the budget will increase, then how can Pakistan play its matches in its own country, the Indian board believes that the host of the Asia Cup, Pakistan, is putting pressure to hold the full event.
The Indian Cricket Board said that the board is firm on its decision not to go to Pakistan, the Asia Cup is to be held in UAE or Qatar, and Pakistan will also have to play its matches in one of these two countries.

According to media reports, the formula of holding the Asia Cup in two countries is being discussed, Pakistan proposed to hold the Asia Cup in two countries, and India’s matches are proposed to be played in a country other than Pakistan.
On the other hand, the Indian media said that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has refused to hold Pakistan’s World Cup matches in any country other than India.
The Indian media termed it as a very ridiculous suggestion and said that if Pakistan reaches the semi-finals or the final, the venues of the World Cup will never change.
It should be remembered that in the World Cup held in India, there were reports of Pakistan’s matches being played in Bangladesh.
