ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has declares Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a part of terrorists, accusing its chairman Imran Khan of using party workers as human shields who wants civil war in the country.

Her comments came as Punjab Police and Rangers continued with their efforts to push towards Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore to arrest him in Toshakhana case for second consecutive day.

PTI leaders claimed that several of their workers had been injured while blocking attempts to arrest Khan since yesterday.
Addressing a news conference via video link here on Wednesday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said her government had nothing to do with the arrest of Imran Khan, adding that Police were only implementing court orders.

Defending Police action against unarmed party workers and supporters at Lahore’s Zaman Park, she said Police only resorted to action when attacked by gangs and groups.
She said some 65 police personnel injured during action on Zaman Park, adding that it could never be possible to get relief from court at a time when police personnel who went there to implement court orders got injured.
The federal information minister alleged that Gilgit-Baltistan force was being utilised to attack Punjab police, while also insisting that the law enforcement officials were unarmed.
She also stressed that the law enforcement officials were merely carrying out court orders to apprehend an accused individual, who would call himself as “brave” but was now hiding in his residence.
The minister demanded that all citizens should receive similar treatment if they violate court orders, as Imran had allegedly done.
Despite the fact of an outright media blackout about events that had been taking place in Lahore since yesterday, Marriyum Aurangzeb urged the media to fact-check before reporting on the claims made by the former prime minister.
