Opening ceremony

Riyatullah Farooqui by Riyatullah Farooqui

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has announced ‘Jail Bharoo’ movement. The funny aspect of this announcement is that it is from the same Imran Khan who migrated to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fearing arrest last year and who still have dozens of workers guarding his Zaman Park residence in shifts at the mere prospect of his arrest. Not only that, but this is the same PTI whose Fawad Chaudhry declared himself Nelson Mandela on the day of his arrest, but when he was released just four days later, he broke into tears on a TV. If it was about one-half, it would have been considered as human weakness and ignored. But Azam Swati, Shehbaz Gill, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Imran Riaz, and Jameel Farooqui are all those who not only have a regular cry record on detention but have also become a part of Pakistan’s political history.

Not for long when Shehbaz Gill was admitted to Services Hospital in Lahore on the mere possibility of re-arrest. And when the story of the PTI government in Punjab ended, he slipped away from there. Meanwhile, there were reports from Peshawar that an unusual number of foreign Punjabi customers were being noted at restaurants. An ironic Peshawari waiter commented on it.

“In the old days, there used to be an area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where fugitives used to hide. Now the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become an area where PTI fugitives have taken shelter.”

It is heard that political fugitives of PTI are now found in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir after the dissolution of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The biggest problem of PTI is that it is not a regular political party. This is the test tube baby of generals with political ambitions which is popular these days. So, due to the lack of political awareness, they do not even know that Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are under the direct control of the federation. There is no obstacle for federal agencies to make arrests from there.

Even if we assume that the Jail Bharoo movement will actually start. And on the call of Imran Khan, the youthias will also participate in this movement, so the first question for political analysts is what is the possible number of arrestees? The number has to be kept in mind and after subtracting 99% of this number, the remaining number can be the possible number of arrestees. Among the last three public activities of PTI, the biggest activity was the long march which in the end consisted of one container and six cars. After that comes the number of the meeting held in Pindi on November 26, 2022, the venue of which was a highway consisting of only 4 furlongs. While the last activity was a demonstration at the Provincial Election Commission office in Lahore, the number of participants of which was said to be 200 to 250.

Political history tells us that jail-filled movements are successfully run by parties whose political stance is lively and they have moral superiority over the government. Why would the government come under any pressure from the Jail Bharoo movement of a party whose political stance is so extreme that the PTI government’s first stance on overthrowing its government was Biden and currently it blames Mohsin Naqvi for overthrowing the govt.

Jail Bharoo movement is only a political fashion in our country, get arrested today and released tomorrow. But in the case of PTI, we suggest to the present government that if any Youthia comes for arrest, forensic test of his mobile should be done at the first opportunity. Inshallah, there will be no difficulty in establishing a strong case of cybercrime and getting regular punishment. In this strategy, youthiye will arrive in jail as a political worker but leave as a convicted cybercriminal. And if the government wants to stop any vagrant from coming, then it should announce right now that the person coming should bring his mobile phone, otherwise the arrestee will not be released until his mobile phone is in police custody.

We cannot be so biased to only give free advice to the incumbent government. We also have a piece of free advice for Hazrat Nawab of Kala Bagh. And that is that when Huzur is fond of Nawabs, the style of politicians will only bring embracement. It is surprising that Khan ’embezzled’ alone and the poor youthias are being given a share in the arrests now. in the arrest of poor Yuthya. Did these innocents get a share in the income of foreign funding and watches?

But still, if you [Khan] want to fulfill your passion for Jail Bharoo movement, it should start with Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati.
