The people in the country are currently suffering from a state of agitation as on the one hand, the critical situation of the economy and on the other hand, the wave of terrorism has caused the people a double torment. The loss of over 100 precious lives has left the entire nation in grief, in such a situation the Apex Committee meeting was of utmost importance, in which important decisions were taken.

The meeting was held at Governor House Peshawar under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, DG ISI, Federal Ministers and Chief Ministers participated in this most important meeting. On this occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other participants were given a detailed briefing on the peace and order situation in the country.

In the Apex Committee meeting, it was decided to conduct intelligence-based operation against terrorists and to make those who shed the blood of Pakistanis a deterrent example. The political leadership expressed its determination to stand completely with the security forces. It was also decided to send a diplomatic delegation to Afghanistan and raise the issue of TTP with Taliban.

The diplomatic delegation will categorically discuss the issue with Taliban and more evidences of the activities of the banned TTP will be placed before Kabul. Because the banned TTP, which is responsible for terrorism in Pakistan, has a safe platform in Afghanistan.  The Committee also considered the reactivation of military courts in the current situation.

In this critical situation, all the political parties have to come to a table in the best interest of the country, because the wave of terrorism and bad economic situation can only be dealt with by unity.
