Karachi Police bust gang of 4 involved in bike-snatchings

KARACHI: The City Police on Tuesday busted a gang of four suspects, involved in snatching bikes from the Metropolis and selling them to Balochistan.

Narrating the details, SSP Central Maruf Usman told media that on a tip-off, Bilal Colony Police raided a place and apprehended four suspects, identified as Qasim Kalloo, Ahmer Lattoo, Ahsan Patloo and Banu.

The gang was said to be among the most notorious and ruthless criminals who never hesitated to open fire while facing resistance during robberies. A CCTV, produced by the District Central Police, shows the suspects snatching a bike.

Police said the gang of these suspects used to sell out the bikes to someone known as Mulla in Hub Chowki area, Balochistan, at throw away prices, and in return, get cash and drugs.

The suspects had been to jail several times, and more than 20 snatched cell phones, 4 pistols, 2 bikes and a car were also recovered from their possession.
