LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday claimed a deal has paved the way for Ishaq Dar’s return to Pakistan, adding that purported audio leak proved a collusion between the government and Election Commission of Pakistan.
While addressing a ceremony at GC University in Lahore, the former premier said Ishaq Dar fled Pakistan in the aircraft of then Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, adding that the country couldn’t prosper because of these corrupt politicians.

Imran Khan said corrupt leaders were once again forced on Pakistan through an “international conspiracy.” He claimed that 60 percent of the federal cabinet members in the current administration are out on bail and had changed the NAB law to receive relief from corruption cases brought against them.
“Are we sheep?” He questioned the crowd, “Will this game be played in the future?”
He asked the participants to name any nation whose three-term Prime Minister currently resides abroad.

Talking about the purported audio leaks from PM house, the PTI leader claimed that the audio revealed how the prime minister was devising a way to get over the trade embargo with India that his administration had put in place so that Maryam’s son-in-law could buy machinery from that country. In addition, he said that the incumbent administration intended to build a grid station for Maryam’s son-in-house law’s development using taxpayer funds, costing Rs700 million.
He said the leaks proved a collusion between PDM government and ECP.
“CEC is a servant of Sharifs, he should resign if he has a shred of shame.” Khan added.
