KARACHI: Â A five-member team of the Sindh Police on Thursday reached Lahore to bring Dua Zahra back to Karachi following the orders of a local court.Â
The Sindh Home Department has allowed bringing Dua back, said the investigative sources, adding that the girl will be moved back with the permission of Lahore Police and authorities.Â
The investigative sources said that the Sindh Police have reached Lahore to transfer the teenager back to Karachi.
A few days ago, a local court had ordered the formation of a board to conduct Dua’s age-determining test afresh.Â
Earlier on Tuesday, the Sindh government formed a six-member medical board following directions from a civil court.
The board will be headed by the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Principal Saba Sohail while she would be accompanied by members including Dr Sikandar Rafique, Dr. Rani, and Professor Nazli Hossain.
Besides them, two police surgeons including Dr. Ramla Naz and Professor Shah Jahan would also be part of the medical board.
Dua had made headlines across the country after she mysteriously disappeared from Karachi in April but later declared that she had run away from her home to marry 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed.
