LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Netherlands Cricket Board (KNBC) have agreed to reschedule the postponed three-match ODI series for July 2022, several media outlets reported on Monday.
The one-day international (ODI) series was postponed two years ago for an indefinite period. However, media outlets while quoting sources reported that the boards of both teams have finally agreed to play these matches in Amstelveen in the last week of July.
According to media reports, the complete schedule of these matches will be announced once the logistics issues are settled. The first match is expected to take place on July 28. The matches will be part of the ICC World Cup Super League.
Remember, the two teams were scheduled to play these games on July 4, 7 and 9 2020. On the other hand, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has also requested to reschedule the postponed ODIs.
According to a PCB official, a window for the series with Afghanistan could be opened in the second week of September but nothing is confirmed right now.
Two days earlier, Pakistan had won the first ODI series against Australia in 20 years on Saturday in Lahore. Babar smashed his second successive hundred as Pakistan thrashed Australia by nine wickets in the final one-dayer to claim a 2-1 series victory.
The foundation of the win was laid by Pakistan’s fiery pace trio of Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim and Shaheen Afridi who bundled out Australia for 210 inside 42 overs.
