ISLAMABAD: A total of 7,539 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 25 more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,393,887 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 29,162 people lost their lives to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 63,272 tests were performed for the diagnosis of coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 24,754,277. Nationwide, the test result was 11.91 percent, while 1,240 patients were in intensive care for the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 1,784 people have been killed in coronavirus across the country, bringing the total number of healthy people to 1,272,871. The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab. In Punjab, 469,540 people fell victim to the virus while 13,126 died. In Sindh, 533,496 cases of corona and 7,765 deaths were reported.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 187,983 people fell victim to coronavirus while 5,986 died. In Balochistan, 34,131 cases of the virus were reported while 367 people lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 36,082 people were infected with coronavirus and 752 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,557 cases and 187 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 122,098 people were infected with coronavirus and 979 died.
