Hopes are fading even after eight meetings of the “World Powers” over the past two months regarding the nuclear deal with Iran. It is important to keep an eye on the dangerous implications of bitter statements made by powerful countries against Iran.
Last month, two high-profile figures – the Israeli defense minister and Mossad chief – visited the United States. These personalities, in consultation with Washington, reviewed all aspects of the withdrawal of the nuclear deal with Iran.
Israel and some world powers believe Iran has multiplied its nuclear capabilities since former President Trump abandoned the deal. According to Israel’s speculations, Iran is rapidly advancing towards its goal and that delaying tactics are being used only to gain time.
Israel’s defense minister has made it clear that only a military solution to the Iranian problem is possible, and that his country’s forces were ready in case of any emergence. However, doing so has been somewhat more difficult since the nuclear deal was finalized in 2015, as Iran has the most advanced missile technology to strike Israel.
In Obama’s era, Iran’s missile technology was not that much capable to strike Israel, but in recent days, its missile tests have raised fears of an attack on Tel Aviv. It seems that Iran has succeeded in strengthening its nuclear capability, which has led to increasing tensions in the region. That is why the world powers is constantly seeking an inspection of Iran’s nuclear warehouse from IAEA (International Atomic Energy Authority).
The world powers believe that Iran has increased its nuclear capability and that work is accelerating, especially in secret locations. Meanwhile, Iran also has some demands: Its frozen assets be restored; the ban on the return of oil export revenues be lifted; and no more sanctions or walkout during negotiations.
With the exception of China and Russia, the P5 countries view Iran with skepticism, and in the wake of the Trump administration’s suspension of the deal, Iran continued to increase its nuclear power. Because when one side deviates from the agreement, it is natural for Iran to move towards its nuclear power.
Realizing the threat of an Israeli attack, Iran has begun to consolidate and strengthen its sleeper cells in the Gulf and other countries, while the Houthis from Yemen have also increased their attacks. On the other hand, the tug-of-war between Ukraine and Russia has begun to heat up.
Weighing it in the context of Iran and Taiwan, it would not be wrong to say that on the one hand, if Russia and NATO forces start clashing in Ukraine, on the other hand, Russia and China will leave no stone unturned to support Iran in certain emerging situations.
In this regard, the visit of the Iran’s President to Russia, which started on Friday, has become a key event. It is not out of the question that if a clash between Russia and NATO forces breaks out in Ukraine, Iran, meanwhile, demonstrates its strength and intensifies its military activities in the Gulf countries and Yemen. Because Iran’s ongoing talks in Geneva are on the verge of failure. Iran’s pre-emptive military action can help prevent a possible Israeli attack.
Only the proper use of its seals by Pakistan in this growing global turmoil can save it from dangerous negative effects. And this is possible only if our foreign ministry and other leaderships come together to plan and save themselves from partisanship in the international diplomatic context.
