A complaint was lodged with Haripur University against this forgery, after which the management of Haripur University formed an inquiry committee (file photo).

A complaint was lodged with Haripur University against this forgery, after which the management of Haripur University formed an inquiry committee (file photo).

ISLAMABAD: It has been revealed that Dr. Ikramuddin has been recruited as an Associate Professor in Grade-19 on the basis of fake experimental certificates in Haripur University.

Despite the forgery, Vice-Chancellor and Registrar Shah Masood Khan is trying to influence the inquiry committee. The head of the Department of Environmental Science at the University of Peshawar is also involved in the forgery.

Dr. Anwar-ul-Hassan Gilani, Vice-Chancellor of Haripur University, has appointed a person in the university as a Lecturer in Information Technology on Grade 18, who has now been promoted to Grade 20 through the Selection Board and has become an Associate Professor. He had submitted a fake certificate of Grade 17 job experience at the University of Peshawar while committing forgery.

According to the experimental certificate submitted by Dr. Ikramuddin, he has worked as a Database Administrator in the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar.

As per the information obtained from the University of Peshawar, Dr. Ikram has never worked officially at the University of Peshawar, although he has worked for a year as a trainee in a project of the Higher Education Commission in the Environmental Department of the University of Peshawar.

Certificate of Second Experience According to the company presented by Dr. Ikramuddin, Dr. Ikramuddin has worked as an advisor to Softick IT Company. According to the records of the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the company does not exist under the name of an IT company.

According to the letter written to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ikramuddin has cheated the university administration and also forged with them, due to which Dr. Ikramuddin should be fined and severely scrutinized because the university Attempts have been made to tarnish the image of the Vice-Chancellor.

According to the documents submitted by Dr. Ikramuddin through the letter pad of Softek IT Company, according to the experimental certificate, Dr. Ikramuddin has worked as a team leader in the company from March 25, 2007, to February 24, 2008.

According to Prof. Dr. S. Shafiqul-ur-Rehman, Chairman, Environmental Science, University of Peshawar, on May 15, 2009, Dr. Ikramuddin son of Fazal Mabood Jan has been working from June 1, 2008, to May 15, 2009, with a monthly contract of Rs. Due to which the contract period expired on May 31, 2009.

A complaint was lodged with Haripur University against this forgery after which the management of Haripur University formed an inquiry committee in which all the evidence of forgery came to light, but Dr. gave the task of verification, however, the petitioner has clearly stated that Dr. Ikramuddin has taken oath in the job application and the experience he has claimed is not acceptable.

The matter was also brought to the notice of the Secretary Higher Education Peshawar and on the inquiry of the Secretary, Dr. Gilani and Shah Masood Khan turned Kamal Chabak Dasti from right to left and despite informing all the institutions, no action has been taken against him.

It may be recalled that a letter has been written to the Chancellor / Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federal Minister Dr. Shafqat Mehmood, and Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the said irregularity. The petitioner has hinted to knock on the door of the court in case no action is taken against Dr. Ikramuddin.

Surprisingly, the Vice-Chancellor of Haripur University, Dr. Anwar-ul-Hassan Gilani, and the Registrar, Dr. Shah Masood Khan, under no circumstances can recruit associate professors who are recruited through forged documents nor can they pay salaries from this public treasury.

It may be recalled that Haripur University itself had suspended Khurram Mehtab, an assistant professor of the same university, on July 13, 2018, in a similar case for providing the fake experimental certificate. Attempts are still being made to save Dr. Ikramuddin, an associate professor who was involved in forgery, and a report of his own accord has been obtained by misleading the investigation committee.
