RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has congratulated the Pakistan cricket team for outstanding performance and comprehensive win against India in ICC T20 World Cup match.
The Inter-Services Public Relations shared the army chief’s felicitation message for the historic win against India. “Pakistan Cricket Team has made us all proud,” the COAS was quoted as saying.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in Saudi Arabia, also congratulated Pakistan cricket team for clinching a ten-wicket victory against India in the T20 World Cup in Dubai.
In a tweet on social media platform Twitter, he said, “Congratulations to the Pakistan Team & esp to Babar Azam who led from the front, as well as to the brilliant performances of Rizwan & Shaheen Afridi. The nation is proud of you all.”

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is accompanying the prime minister on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, also hailed the victory. “Absolutely smashing victory by the Pakistan team. Well done!” he said on Twitter.
President Dr Arif Alvi congratulated Pakistan cricket team over their 10 wicket victory against India in the T20 World Cup match in Dubai. He said, “Congratulations Green Shirts. Total Wipeout. A win by 10 wickets. You make us proud. A good match.”

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib termed Pakistan’s victory against Indian team in its first match of the T20 World as ‘surgical strike of cricket.’
In a tweet, the state minister felicitated the nation and Pakistani cricket team for stunning victory against Indian side. “Pakistani Shaheens once again outplayed India in T20 without any loss of wicket,” he said while appreciating the opening pair Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan for their outstanding partnership.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UN, Munir Akram, warmly congratulated Pakistani cricket team on its “splendid” victory against India in the World Cup’s opening game in Dubai, saying, “You made us proud.”
“Mash Allah!”, he exclaimed when Pakistan completed its massive win. “Pakistan always surprises!,” Ambassador Akram added. “That day is not far when international cricket will be back again in Pakistan.”
Pakistani-Americans, who have been praying for Pakistan’s victory, remained glued to television till the winning runs since this morning.
Many of them went to crowded Pakistani restaurants across the city — in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island — to the watch the high voltage game on big screens. They cheered their side all through the match and erupted in loud “Pakistan Zinda Bad” slogans when the victory was completed.
