ISLAMABAD: Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Jeppe Kofod on Friday arrived on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
The Danish foreign minister arrived at Islamabad Airport on a chartered flight. According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), he was welcomed by Airport Manager and staff of the Foreign Office.
The visiting foreign minister appreciated the efforts of the airport staff. He thanked the airport administration for its exceptional assistance in evacuation flights from Afghanistan.
He also thanked the airport staff for working round the clock to meet the evacuation requirements from Afghanistan.
According to Foreign Office, the dignitary will exchange views with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on issues of mutual interest and the regional situation including Afghanistan.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Kofod will also interact with other dignitaries.
The statement said Denmark is a valued partner for Pakistan. Bilateral relations are growing as the two countries are diversifying mutual cooperation to new avenues, including renewable energy and green technologies.
It added the visit of Foreign Minister Kofod will positively contribute to cementing the multifaceted bilateral relationship and enhancing mutual understanding on regional and international issues.
