If you’re waiting for an update on Netflix’s 2024 renewal and cancellation slate, MM News has something special for you.
Normally, Netflix renews and cancels a ton of their TV programs throughout the year, but they also will often renew shows for one final season. Likewise, The online streaming platform confirmed few of their renewed TV shows that will actually be ending this year; here are five shows that will end in 2024:
1) Sweet Tooth
Based on the DC comic of the same name, the story centers around a young boy named Gus, who’s half-human and half-deer.
Sweet Tooth would be back for a third and final season. No release date was given for season 3 just yet. Season 2 of the show was released last year in April.
2) The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy chronicles the adventures of a dysfunctional family of adopted siblings with superhuman abilities. Following their time-twisting adventures in the show’s second season, the third season of The Umbrella Academy has the family returning to the present, only to discover that their actions in the past dramatically changed the world they left behind.
The Umbrella Academy was renewed for a fourth and final season back in 2022. This is one of the shows that fans have been eagerly awaiting the conclusion of, and it’s projected that it will be coming to an end sometime this year.
3) You
You, which is based on the novel You, follows Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager and serial killer who falls in love and develops an extreme obsession with the woman he meets. You will be ending after season 5, which is expected to debut in 2024.
4) Elite
Elite series is set in Las Encinas, a fictional elite high school and revolves around the relationships between three working-class students enrolled at the school through a scholarship program and their wealthy classmates.
Elite would be coming to an end with the show’s 8th season. Season 7 just debuted in late 2023. It’s unclear when season 8 will debut, but fans believe it should arrive sometime in 2024.
5) Vikings Valhalla
Set more than 100 years after the events of Vikings; in England, tensions between the descendants of the Vikings (Norse or “Danes”) and native English reach a bloody breaking point.
Vikings: Valhalla will be coming to an end with the third season. They announced season 3 will debut in 2024.
