5.7-magnitude earthquake jolts parts of country

ISLAMABAD: A 5.7 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Punjab on Tuesday.
According to details, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake was felt in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and surrounding areas today. Additionally, tremors were also felt in Mardan, Nowshera, Shangla, and Malakand divisions.
The tremors spread panic amongst locals, although no loss of life and property was reported from any area. There was a lot of fear and panic. The quake affected Swat, Lower Dir, Temar Garh, and surrounding areas, as well as Buner and Abbottabad.
The depth of the earthquake was recorded as 112 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface. The epicenter of the earthquake was Tajikistan.
