4 soldiers martyred near Pak-Afghan border

RAWALPINDI: Four Pakistan army soldiers were martyred and one injured in two separate terrorist attacks on Saturday in North Waziristan and across the Pak-Afghan border.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, suspected terrorists in Dir district opened fire and martyred three soldiers from across the Pak-Afghan border, the soldiers were busy in border fencing. As ISPR, the retaliatory fire killed two of the attackers.
The personnel martyred in the second incident include Lance Naik Said Amin Afridi, aged 28, a resident of District Khyber; Lance Naik Muhammad Shoaib Swati, a 31-year-old resident of District Manshera; and Sepoy Kashif Ali, aged 22, a resident of District Nowshera.

In a separate incident in North Waziristan, terrorists opened fire on a routine patrolling party of security forces near Abba Khel in the Spin Wam area. As a result, 23-year-old soldier Akhtar Hussain, a resident of District Baltistan, embraced martyrdom.
“Three soldiers were martyred while one got injured” in the incident. The personnel martyred in the incident include Lance Naik Said Amin Afridi, aged 28, a resident of District Khyber; Lance Naik Muhammad Shoaib Swati, a 31-year-old resident of District Manshera; and Sepoy Kashif Ali, aged 22, a resident of District Nowshera.
