KARACHI: A further 26 deaths have been reported in Pakistan due to the coronavirus pandemic and the total death toll has risen to 6,893.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 1,302 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country and the total number of affected people has reached 338,875.
In Pakistan, 316,665 patients of coronavirus have recovered and 15,317 are undergoing treatment. The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad has reached 20,694. At least 105,535 cases have been reported in Punjab, 147,787 in Sindh, 40,022 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16,026 in Balochistan, 4,320 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 4,491 in Azad Kashmir.
The coronavirus has killed 2,385 people in Punjab and 2,647 in Sindh. The death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 1,284, 229 in Islamabad, 152 in Balochistan, 92 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 104 in Azad Kashmir.

The National Command and Operations Center has made it mandatory to wear a mask to prevent coronavirus in Pakistan. Citizens must wear masks when leaving their homes. Masks will be required for those working in government and private sector offices.
Provincial governments have been directed to make SOPs and masks mandatory in markets, shopping malls, public transport, restaurants. According to the NCOC, coronavirus is spreading in 11 cities across the country. 80 percent of coronavirus cases in Pakistan were reported from eleven major cities.
Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Peshawar also reported more cases of coronavirus.
