Security forces executed an intelligence-driven operation in the Sararogha region of South Waziristan during the night of December 24-25, resulting in the elimination of 13 terrorists.
As reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday, this operation was initiated based on reliable intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area.
The ISPR indicated that the deceased terrorists were implicated in numerous assaults against both security personnel and civilians. The statement emphasized that the operation demonstrates the security forces’ steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan.
Subsequent to the engagement, a sanitization operation was launched to confirm that no remaining militants were concealed in the area. The ISPR reaffirmed the dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces to combat terrorism and restore peace throughout the nation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the courage and determination of Pakistan’s security forces following the successful operation in South Waziristan.
