Xiaomi has entered the AI sphere with unveiling of its flagship artificial intelligence model, MiMo V2 Pro, marking a major step into the competitive AI space.
According to details, the model outperformed rivals such as DeepSeek V3.2 and Claude Sonnet 4.6 on the OpenRouter platform even before its official debut.
MiMo V2 Pro is part of a broader ecosystem that includes three AI models: a large language model, a multimodal system, and a speech synthesis tool, all designed to support advanced AI agents.
The multimodal version, MiMo V2 Omni, can process visual and audio inputs and perform tasks like online shopping or analyzing driving footage.
Before launch, the flagship model appeared anonymously on OpenRouter under the codename “Hunter Alpha,” where it topped rankings and was initially mistaken for a new DeepSeek release.
Developed under former DeepSeek researcher Luo Fuli, the model features one trillion parameters and a context window of one million tokens, placing it among the most advanced AI systems currently available.
