Worldwide coronavirus death toll rises to over 704,600

WASHINGTON: The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has surged to 18,716,057 and the pandemic has so far claimed over 704,632 lives.

The number of people infected with a coronavirus in the United States has risen to 4,918,420 and the total number of deaths has reached 160,290.

In Brazil, more than 2.8 million people have been infected with corona and 96,096 have died. India is the third-largest country to be infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1.96 million patients and more than 39,080 deaths.

In Russia, 861,423 people have been affected by Corona and the total death toll has risen to 14,351. The death toll from Corona in South Africa has risen to more than 8,800, with 521,318 people affected.

In Peru, the death toll from Corona has risen to more than 20,000, with a total of more than 521,000 cases. In Mexico, 449,961 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and more than 48,800 have died.

The coronavirus has infected more than 362,000 people in Chile and killed 9,745 people. The death toll from Corona in Spain has risen to 28,498, with a total of more than 349,000 cases.

The number of deaths from corona in the UK has risen to 46,299, while 36,203 people are infected with the coronavirus. The UK has a corona test and trace system in place and coroner patients are being isolated.
