The US President met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Yoshida in Hiroshima before the G-7 summit. The two leaders agreed to increase US-Japan defense cooperation against growing Chinese influence in the region.
Joe Biden said, “We are facing the most complicated environment in recent history, and will hold Russia accountable for the attack on Ukraine.”
The Japanese prime minister said that it has been agreed to support Ukraine and continue the sanctions against Russia. The G7 countries include America, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.

It should be noted that the United States and the European Union have already imposed the toughest sanctions against Russia, but experts say that the current sanctions will be tightened, especially in the oil and energy sector.
According to international media, the European Union is considering punishing those companies that somehow help to reduce the impact of sanctions on Russia.
Although Russia’s trade with the G7 countries has remained nominal, imports of Russian coal, oil, and gas from China, India, and Turkey have increased manifold, due to which Western sanctions have not had much impact on the Russian economy.
