Police have arrested a woman accused of orchestrating the rape of her friend by her husband as an act of revenge in Lahore.
Kot Lakhpat police stated that advanced technology was employed to apprehend the suspect at her brother’s residence in Chauburji. Both the suspect and the victim worked at the same factory.
Superintendent of Police Model Town, Akhlaqullah Tarar, explained that although the two women were friends, they had a dispute a few days before the incident. The suspect, Yasmin, allegedly planned for her husband to sexually assault the victim, Shamshad Bibi, as retaliation.
According to reports, the man forcibly entered Shamshad Bibi’s residence, committed the crime, and fled the scene. Police are conducting raids to apprehend other suspects, emphasizing that those who exploit women should not receive any leniency.
Rape cases are not uncommon in Pakistan; however, this case is unique in that it involves a woman allegedly orchestrating the rape of another woman by her husband.
