A shocking incident of abduction occurred in Lahore’s upscale Defence Phase A area, where a woman was forcibly taken by individuals in a car.
The abduction, captured on surveillance cameras, has sparked public outrage and widespread concern after the footage surfaced online.
According to police, the woman, identified as Mehwish, was forcefully grabbed by two individuals and shoved into a vehicle before they fled the scene. CCTV footage clearly shows the perpetrators brutally forcing the victim into the car.
SHO Defence A, Khurram Shehzad, stated that a case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Ameen. Mehwish’s ex-husband, Fayyaz, has been named as the prime suspect in the FIR.
He is accused of planning the abduction with the help of his accomplices, Ayub and another unidentified person.
SP Cantt Division, Qazi Ali Raza, said that raids are being conducted at various locations to apprehend the kidnappers and assured that the victim will soon be recovered safely.
He added that a special team under SHO Khurram Shehzad has been formed to investigate the case using CCTV footage, mobile data, and other forensic evidence.
