He said that most doctors’ handwriting gets worse as the day goes by because the small muscles in their hands get tired from working too much.
Urgency is also a reason, if doctors spent an hour with each patient, they would not have to write much, but the reality is that most specialists see patients in a hurry.
According to Dr. Roth, a patient gets a chance to discuss his medical problems with a doctor for barely 15 minutes, because doctors have to see a lot of patients in a limited time, so doctors rush to write everything instead of writing well.
Because of this, their writing is poor and many times the medical terms also leave patients scratching their heads, which is difficult for us, but the pharmacist knows what the doctor wants to say.
Now this problem has been solved as in Pakistan, this trend is still less, but in many countries of the world, doctors have started compiling electronic medical records so that there is no possibility of any kind of mistake.
By the way, Google also started working on a feature in December 2022 that will help doctors read difficult writing.
On this occasion, the company said that a new tool will be added to Google Lens that will interpret what doctors write. But after that, no other announcement was made in this regard.
