Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, the central emir of Jamaat-i-Islami, voiced serious concerns about the increasing number of violent incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged the federal government to start a thorough dialogue with the Taliban, who currently rule Afghanistan, in order to address the region’s persistent lawlessness.

He said that over the past few years, insurgency has been raging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in its tribal districts, killing hundreds of innocent people.
He claimed that no action was being taken by the federal or provincial governments to make things better. According to the JI chief, the government’s top priority should be safeguarding people’s lives and property. He claimed that leaders did not carry out their duties.
He claimed that both the federal and provincial governments had made lofty promises to take concrete action to put an end to violence in the province. Hafiz Naeem expresses concern over the rise in targeted killings
