The United States refused to give any response regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to international media, during a media briefing on Wednesday, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked a question about Imran Khan. However, the spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
A report states that Tammy Bruce stated that the US does not discuss the internal affairs of other countries and suggested asking the White House if further clarification was needed.
She added that President Donald Trump and the Secretary of State had made it clear that the US cares about the world, its neighbors, and global affairs. Additionally, the US State Department spokesperson denied the existence of any list of countries facing entry bans.
Tammy Bruce clarified that the much-anticipated list does not exist. She explained that under President Trump’s orders, a security review is being conducted to assess visa-related issues and determine who should be allowed entry into the US. Once this review is completed, more information will be shared.
It is worth noting that earlier, international media had reported that the Trump administration was considering imposing travel bans similar to those enforced during its previous tenure, which could affect multiple countries, including Afghanistan and Pakistan.
