ISLAMABAD: As soon as the federal government was dissolved, Farah Khan, a close friend of Bushra Bibi, left the country and reached United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Prime Minister Imran Khan got married for the first time to Jemima Khan, his second wife was Reham Khan, the anchorperson, and married the third time to Bushra Bibi, who is allegedly called a “Peerni”.
Farah Khan accused of bribery
According to private TV, besides Farah Khan, other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have also started going abroad. Earlier, Farah Khan was accused of taking bribes on posting transfers in Punjab.
According to PTI sources, Farah Khan left for Dubai on Sunday. Maryam Nawaz had accused Farah Khan of taking posting and transfers money.
Who is Farah Khan?
The real name of the close friend of Bushra Bibi called Farah Khan is Farhat Shehzadi. Her husband, Ahsan Jamil, left for the United States on March 31 and is now in Dubai.
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz have recently accused Farah Khan of being involved in corruption.
Government response
Interestingly, former special assistant Shahbaz Gill, while reacting to the allegations of corruption, said that when Maryam Nawaz did not find a way to criticize the first lady, the allegations were being made on the basis of a friend. Farah Khan had no official position and turned down the allegations of corruption against her.
Are bribery allegations true or false?
Bushra Bibi remained the eye-catcher of PTI workers for being the first lady of the Prime Minister. The same was the case with Reham Khan till she parted ways with the Prime Minister. She was later accused after separation.
After the PTI came to power, an army of special assistants was deployed who had been also accused of corruption.
The performance of the government on the economic front has not been as vibrant during the PTI era.
In such a situation, the investigation was not carried out against Farah Khan as she was a close friend of Bushra Bibi, while Asif Zardari, Shahbaz Sharif and other opposition leaders were seen appearing on corruption charges while the investigation of the allegations was the duty of the government.
