Phoebe Buffay aka Lisa Kudrow is reportedly adopting the beloved dog of Matthew Perry, her costar from ‘Friends’ who died this weekend.
Insiders have told DailyMail that the 60-year-old actress is also reportedly dog following Matthew Perry’s tragic death. Kudrow will not only attend any and all events honoring her departed best friend, but she may even adopt his beloved dog. “Lisa and cast will all be attending his services. Lisa is also considering taking in his beloved dog Alfred,” the insider said. Back in 2021, Perry adopted an adorable dog named Alfred, a doodle mix, who he often featured on his social media.
Not only was Kudrow one of Perry’s best friends but she wrote the incredibly touching forward in his memoir. For the forward of Perry’s memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, she wrote: “So, I just focused on Matthew, who could make me laugh so hard every day, and once a week, laugh so hard I cried and couldn’t breathe. He was there, Matthew Perry, who is whip smart … charming, sweet, sensitive, very reasonable and rational. That guy, with everything he was battling, was still there. The same Matthew who, from the beginning, could lift us all up during a grueling night shoot for the opening titles inside that fountain.”
Kudrow also revealed the sweet gesture he did for her: he gifted her the cookie jar from the Friends set that became an inside joke between them, which she couldn’t believe. “I think the first thing I asked was, ‘This was so nice—did you get permission?’ I mean, my car used to get searched every night when I left,” she said.
