Mangoes are called the king of fruits all over the world, but do you know which country exports the most mangoes?
According to the latest data, Mexico is the world’s largest mango exporter. Mexico exports about $575.4 million worth of mangoes, which is about 24.6% to 38% of global mango exports.
The second-largest exporting country is the Netherlands, which exports $381.7 million worth of mangoes. This is followed by Brazil and India, which export mangoes worth $315.7 million and $154 million, respectively.
After these countries, Pakistan is in fifth place, contributing 4.6% of the world’s mango exports and exporting about $108.6 million worth of mangoes annually.
It should be noted that although Pakistan ranks fifth in mango exports, Pakistani mangoes rank first in the world in terms of sweetness and aroma.
Mango farming in Pakistan is a significant agricultural activity, primarily concentrated in the Punjab and Sindh provinces. Pakistan is a major mango producer and exporter, with the majority of production occurring between May and September. The country boasts over 200 mango varieties, with Sindhri and Chaunsa being the most popular and widely exported.
