After the huge success of ‘Brahmāstra’, Ranbir Kapoor is back with his upcoming thriller ‘Animal’, which is set to release next month across the world.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the highly anticipated movie has a runtime of 201 minutes, one of the longest Indian films ever made. Animal has a budget of 100 crores approximately and is scheduled to be released on 1 December 2023.

Animal revolves around a troubled father-son relationship, set in the backdrop of intense action and bloodshed which turns the son into a violent psychopath. The film follows the story of Ranvir, a conflicted young man whose loyalty to his formidable gangster father Vijay clashes with his own moral principles. When Vijay becomes the target of a rival gang, Ranvir faces a pivotal choice: either stand by his father’s criminal world or reject it entirely. This decision sets off a chain of events that has lifelong repercussions.
Cast
Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the movie stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles. Moreover, the movie will also feature Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, and Suresh Oberoi in supporting roles. The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam all over India.
OTT release: Netflix or Amazon Prime?
The OTT release will take place 6 to 8 weeks after the theatrical release. It has been reported that Netflix is the exclusive streaming partner for Animal, while Sony Max has acquired the satellite rights at a substantial price. So, the movie will stream on Netflix after the release.
