The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rainfall in Karachi today. According to the prediction, rainfall with thunderstorms will likely start this evening and continue until midnight.
The prediction also stated that the influence of monsoon winds is likely to result in heavy rain with thunderstorms.
Today, the sky in the city is partially cloudy, and the weather is hot and humid. The current temperature is 31 degrees Celsius, but the perceived temperature is as high as 38 degrees Celsius, according to the Met Office.
The weather analyst has stated that the maximum temperature today is expected to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in the air is 78%.
Yesterday parts of Karachi received light rain after the current monsoon entered the port city. It is noteworthy that pre-monsoon rains have started in other parts of the country including Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Some areas in Sindh have also received pre-monsoon rains this week.
