Bollywood rising star Alia Bhatt’s newest film Jigra has been streaming in cinemas since October 11, while the film will soon be available on the OTT platform Netflix.
According to reports, Netflix has secured the rights to the action thriller for a substantial sum. However, the release date for the movie’s streaming premiere has yet to be revealed.
Although the exact date of ‘Jigra’s digital release has not been divulged by the producers, it is expected that it may be available for streaming sometime in late November or early December on Netflix.
Directed by Vasan Bala (best known for the neo-noir thriller ‘Monica Oh My Darling’), ‘Jigra’ is an action thriller. Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina (of ‘The Archies’ fame), ‘Jigra’ tells the story of a troubled young woman named Satya, who must overcome all odds and rescue her brother Ankur, who has been unfairly incarcerated in a foreign jail.
Aside from Bhatt and Raina, ‘Jigra’ also stars Telugu actor-director Rahul Ravindra (his Bollywood debut), Aditya Nanda, Manoj Pahwa, Vivek Gomber, Sikander Kher, Radhika Madan etc. The film also has Punjabi pop sensation Diljit Dosanjh in a special cameo.
