Remember two university students in Lahore who were expelled over a viral video for showing a public display of affection? Well, Hadiqa Javaid and Shehryar Ahmed never thought how the incident will change their lives.
It happened earlier this year when a video of two university students went viral in which a girl was seen proposing to a male student with flowers on her knee. They publically displayed their affection for each other and the incident reportedly happened on Valentine’s Day on the premises of the university.
However, soon the video went viral, the University administration acted and expelled both students Hadiqa Javaid and Shehryar Ahmed. Later, the news popped up that the couple has tied the knot after which they were allowed to attend the university again.
However, recently, Hadiqa Javed gave an interview and spilled the beans on the incident that changed her life after their video went viral.
What actually happened?
While opening up about her relationship with Shehryar, Hadiqa revealed that her only mistake was that she expressed her love in front of everyone and later realized that how huge that blunder was.
She also shared that she thought of wearing a mask while proposing so no one could recognize her, but as soon as she proposed, she was surrounded by an unexpected crowd.
According to Hadiqa, she all of a sudden forgot to wear a mask and so did Shehryar. Before the proposal, there were only her friends, who were gathered around at that moment.
Reaction of University
Hadiqa shared that the video was not filmed on Valentine’s day but on a friend’s birthday and the video went viral the same day it was filmed.
By the evening of the same day, both students had received separate calls from University for a meeting the other day along with their parents.
Unfortunately, the university decided to expel them both on the same day in the evening after their meeting.
Marriage rumours
Hadiqa turned down all the rumours of the two getting married and shared that she later saw the news that she and Shehryar got married but it was not true. They never tied the knot, Hadiqa said by adding all the pictures and news related to it were fake.
Are they still together?
Unfortunately, after facing so much trouble they did not end up being together because when Hadiqa’s parents met Shehryar’s family, the dynamics of them seeing perception changed.
According to Shehryar’s family, he is younger than Hadiqa and he is not old enough to get married yet. His parents also claimed that Shehryar is engaged since his childhood.
Hadiqa also shared that her family was quite supportive towards her on this matter and tried to explain to her how she would not live a happy life if she marries Shehryar.
Will they marry?
Shehryar once in an interview said that after completing his bachelor’s degree within two years, he will marry. On other hand, Hadiqa claimed that she is clueless on this matter as they both have not contacted each other for a long time.
The mysterious girl in Shehryar’s TikTok videos
Apart from showing PDA on university premises, Shehryar is a TikToker; he makes videos on both Tikok and Snack Videos. There were speculations that the mysterious girl who is often seen in his videos wearing a mask is non other than Hadiqa.
Hadiqa claimed that she knows the girl whom Shehryar makes TikTok and snack videos with and she is a University fellow and a good friend of both Shehryar and Hadiqa.

Hadiqa’s life became upside down after her video went viral. According to her, Hadiqa’s studies were affected a lot after the incident. However, she seems strong-minded woman and decided to continue her studies from September.
