Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has written a second letter to the Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, regarding fatal road accidents in Karachi, media reported on Sunday.
As per the reports, Governor Tessori has highlighted concerns over administrative negligence and legal violations leading to fatal accidents.
In the letter, the governor pointed out that four citizens lost their lives in a single day, which he termed a serious issue.
Referring to a clear Sindh High Court order, he reminded that heavy traffic was not allowed to enter the city from 7 AM to 11 PM. However, despite the ruling, violations continue to rise.
Tessori expressed hope that the Sindh High Court would ensure strict implementation of its orders to prevent further road tragedies.
In his first letter to the SHC Chief Justice a week ago, the governor expressed grave concern over the increase in accidents involving heavy vehicles in the city. “The alarming frequency of such incidents reflects administrative negligence and lack of regulatory enforcement,” he said.
