TORONTO: A new research has claimed that wearing a salt coated mask could kill the coronavirus disease.
Canadian research suggested that by placing a layer of salt on the same mask can kill the virus effectively.
The research further stated that the viruses get trapped in the holes of the mask, and the wearing of the mask can cause the virus to stick to the fingers and hands. So there seemed to be a need for a virus-mask.
It further added that a layer of salt to the regular mask that absorbs water droplets. On the other hand, viruses are exposed to it, for which they have developed a layer containing common salts such as sodium chloride and potassium chloride.
The death toll in a coronavirus outbreak has claimed 565 lives up till now, infecting more than 28211 people, creating global concerns over the epidemic.
Coronavirus is a disease that spread typically via airborne droplets of fluid produced by infected individuals.
Common signs of this infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
