The Middle East after the Iranian revolution was such a region where on the one hand there was Israel, which was directly hostile to the Arabs, and had the full support of the United States and UK, and on the other hand, there was Iran which was supported by the US.
The opposition regime also inherited a centuries-long history of enmity with the Arabs. If you have read these introductory lines with a cursory glance, then consider carefully the point that there was an enemy of the Arabs in the region who had the full support of the United States and that at the same time was a friend of the Arabs.
Khomeini’s Iran had centuries of enmity with the Arabs, and at the same time, the United States and Great Britain were enemies for him because his Iran had been a slave of these two countries for almost thirty years. Could there be a more ideal situation for America with a military-industrial complex? Conflicts between countries and the potential for wars as a result of these conflicts are the most pressing needs of the US military-industrial complex. If a country is afraid of another country, it will buy weapons.
Iran has not only been sounding alarm bells for the Arabs, but it has also been making smoky rhetoric regarding Israel. Thus, America has been suppressing the sale of arms to both Israel and the Arab countries. It is as if the United States had so much power that it could eliminate the possibility of war, but it used its power to incite war instead of preventing it. Because that was what his military-industrial complex needed. In politics, you can’t use one situation for an unlimited or perpetual period or it will result in lava brewing in the public sphere. Therefore, during the time of Barrack Obama, the United States made a major policy shift and started working on the plan to bring sovereignty to other Shia countries in the Middle East, including Iran. This was the need of the United States even though the Saudi oil reserves have almost been squeezed out by the United States. Now its oil wells are drying up fast. While Iranian oil reserves are safe. They can be used for the next fifty years.
It was not just the agenda of the American Democratic Party, but the American establishment was behind this plan. If you do even a cursory study of the history of the American establishment, you will see a clear pattern that it sometimes supports the Republican party and sometimes the Democrat party according to the demands of the time. It simply sees which global goals liberals are best suited to achieve and which goals religiously minded Republicans are best suited for it. So on the occasion of 9/11, it was on the back of the Republicans, because the Republicans, who had a mixture of religious thoughts, were suitable to crush the Muslims.
The emergence of the famous terrorist organization that mysteriously emerged from Iraq during the Arab Spring was part of this plan. Where it was impossible to overthrow democratic governments, the people were to be used there. And where the people were not useful, for example, Saudi Arabia, then this terrorist organization had to deal with. But the Saudis cautiously heated up the Syrian front, which caused a delay in the completion of the project. Iranian General Qassem Soleimani was not roaming around the region carelessly. He was given a free hand. But the religious Republicans were not happy with this situation. And in that regard, Israel and American Republicans were on the same page. Therefore, the Arab countries saw their interest in the fact that there is only one way to save, and that is to join hands with the American Republicans and Israel.
In this situation, when Donald Trump came to power in the United States, the American establishment had a deep conflict with him as soon as he won the election. If you remember, Trump’s victory was a big surprise and that too for most Americans. When the US establishment took the position that Russia played a role in Trump’s victory and then started investigating it, Trump attacked the establishment not only on the domestic front but also in the Middle East. During this period, Arab countries began to rapidly establish ties with Israel. Because the Arabs knew that the next Democrat president would once again push through the Obama-era plan. The deepest wound Trump inflicted on the American establishment was the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, which put the brakes on the Iranian invasion.
Democrats are in power in the United States for the past two years. They are playing tricks on Saudi Arabia and is on the way to improving relations with Iran, but in these two years, Biden has proven to be the most unpopular president in American history. A president whose phone calls are not even heard by Saudi and Emirati princes. The same president reached Saudi Arabia some time ago with the demand to increase oil production, but Saudi Arabia played the card of reducing oil production from OPEC Plus a few days ago. And that too at a time when Biden himself has raised the screams of American citizens as a result of the sanctions imposed on Russia. Because American citizens are now buying oil at four times the price. This situation can only improve now if the US withdraws from the plan to make Ukraine a NATO member.
This is the reason why Ukraine has become a stranglehold for Joe Biden. Because as a result of this war, oil and gas prices have affected America and Europe the most. While the challenge of malnutrition is on top of that. In such a situation, the supply of gas from Russia to Europe has stopped and the Europeans have no option but to follow the Arabs. Everyone has turned to Qatar for gas, which seems like a lottery for Qatar, while Russia has already started working on the project to supply its gas to China. It is as if the Arab governments who started work on the plan to destroy the land during the Obama era have now become their dire need and these governments refuse to accept American dictation. Just two days ago, American President Biden threatened that Saudi Arabia will have to bear the consequences. But they can’t do anything. If anything, the war in Ukraine will not be confined to Ukraine, and the escalating crisis will push energy prices to levels where American factories will begin to suffocate. That is why Joe Biden is fighting these days to get the support of countries other than Europe regarding Ukraine so that the impression that this conflict is only related to the interests of white nations will end.
In this regard, the pressure was also put on Pakistan to support the US openly on the issue of Ukraine. This demand was also made to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and also to General Bajwa who visited America recently. The foreign policy in Pakistan is under the control of the army, so the visit of General Bajwa was very important in this regard. But General Bajwa has given the same answer to the Biden administration that he gave to Imran Khan in the internal politics of Pakistan. A very simple answer that “We are neutral”. In response to this, Biden has tried to scare the people by making statements regarding Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. But how can we be afraid of this American president from whom even Arab princes are not afraid?
