As per media reports, Indian Prime Minister Narinder Modi will inaugurate the first and the largest Hindu temple in UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi on February 14.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs of India Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on 14 February 2024 during his two-day visit to the Emirates.
This will be his seventh visit since he assumed office and his third in the last eight weeks and this is also his official two-day visit to the kingdom.
Furthermore, according to the details on the first day, he will address the Indian community in the Sheikh Zayed sports city after that he will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu temple in the capital city.
He will also meet the UAE president Sheikh Zayed Bin Nahyan. According to the external affairs ministry both the leaders will discuss things and problems of mutual interest and also find ways to further extend and deepen the two nations’ strategic ties.
PM Modi will also meet with the Sheikh Rashid Al-Makhtum who is the vice president, prime minister and the ruler of Dubai.
At the World Government Summit 2024, Sheikh Rashid specially invited Prime Minister Modi as the guest of honour and the prime minister will also give a special speech on this occasion.
Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas invited PM Modi to the inauguration of the first Hindu temple in the UAE’s capital the BAPS Mandir.
It’s important to know that Hindu extremists in India, who are linked to PM Modi and his party BJP, have not only destroyed the historical Babri Mosque but are also threatening other mosques. This is a sad and worrying situation for Muslims all around the world.
Adding to the concern, the opening of a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi feels like rubbing salt on the wounds of Muslims in this context.
