The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has announced a three-day suspension of water supply to certain areas of the city, starting Monday, due to maintenance work on a major pipeline.
The water supply will be halted from 8:00 AM on Monday, October 21, for the repair and installation of a new valve on a 66-inch pipeline near Jail Chowrangi, as reported by Hamariweb. This pipeline, part of the Old City trunk main, requires urgent repairs to ensure improved water flow in the future.
As a result of the repairs, the city will experience a daily shortfall of approximately 200 million gallons of water, and the water supply disruption is expected to last for three days.
The following areas will be affected by the water supply suspension:
- Chanesar Town
- Jinnah Town
- Keamari
- Clifton
- Saddar
- Gulshan-e-Iqbal
- Jamshed Town
- Liaquatabad
- Nazimabad
