New CCTV footage has surfaced, revealing that Natasha Iqbal was involved in a car and motorbike collision before the fatal accident that claimed the lives of a father and daughter.
Natasha, the wife of prominent Karachi industrialist Danish Iqbal, struck and killed the victims with her speeding SUV after colliding with bikers and pedestrians.
Natasha, who is married to Danish Iqbal, the CEO of Metro Power Company Ltd. and a member of the Gul Ahmed family, has been taken into police custody.
The Karachi City Court has placed her under physical remand. Initially, her defense lawyer argued that Natasha was suffering from mental health issues and had been admitted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) following a head injury. However, hospital records indicate that she was discharged as fit after medical evaluations, with doctors concluding that she did not require immediate psychiatric care.
The new CCTV footage shows Natasha first hitting a white Corolla, then colliding with two people on a motorcycle, sending them tumbling to the ground. It appears that she attempted to flee the scene, leading to the tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif and Aamna Arif, who were on the motorcycle.
The incident is now under closer scrutiny, with growing concerns about Natasha’s driving behavior leading up to the fatal crash. Police continue to investigate the situation.
