KARACHI: A new CCTV footage of the suicide bombing appeared on social media on Friday following the targeted attack on five Japanese nationals who were unharmed when a suicide bomber hit their vehicle in Karachi’s Landhi district.
According to officials, the suicide bomber was killed in the attack, and police shot and killed an accomplice. Two spectators were hurt, and a private security guard who was with the Japanese national succumbing to his injuries.

Surveillance footage captured nearby shows the moment when the bomber detonates his explosive-laden vest in close proximity to a van transporting foreign nationals. The van was observed traveling along Karachi road, trailed by three terrorists on a motorcycle heading towards the scene of the attack.
One of the attackers was seen lurking on the sidewalk, awaiting the arrival of a vehicle carrying Japanese individuals. Upon the vehicle’s approach, the individual dashed across the road and detonated himself in an attempt to harm the targets.
Moreover, the footage reveals another vehicle, following the van, hastily reversing away from the vicinity. A third segment of the incident displays a police officer engaging in a gunfight with the terrorists, devoid of protective equipment.
