ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that a special warning should be issued to the authorities in case of snowfall in Murree.
Fawad Chaudhry while briefing the media said that about 22 people have lost their lives in the Murree tragedy. Roads were blocked by falling trees due to heavy snowfall, he maintained.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep sorrow and grief over this tragedy. The incidents took place in Murree with five vehicles while most of the people left their vehicles and went out on foot.

Fawad Chaudhry said that we have introduced 13 new tourist destinations and there are ample opportunities for tourism in the country. Kalam, Naran, Swat, and other places are crowded with tourists.
He said that according to the Interior Ministry, 164,000 vehicles had entered Murree. “Authorities should issue a special warning. The deaths in Murree were caused by carbon monoxide,” he asserted.
Chaudhry said that lockdown would not be imposed in the fifth wave of coronavirus and educational institutions in the country would not be closed but the situation was being closely monitored. He also urged the citizens to wear masks.
