KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee has depreciated further in the interbank market, the dollar rose by Rs 2.40 paise in the interbank market, from which one dollar is trading at the highest level of Rs 212.
On the other hand, the value of the dollar also increased in the open market and the dollar reached new heights in the open market against the interbank market one US dollar is being bought at Rs 213 and continues to sell at Rs 215.
It may be recalled that the dollar rose by Rs 1.21 paise in the interbank market yesterday, closing at Rs 209.96 per dollar. It is to be noted that due to deficit and declining foreign exchange reserves, the rupee continues to depreciate in Pakistan, and due to the appreciation of the dollar, the national debt is increasing.
According to economists, exponential fluctuations in the value of the currency are a major problem for exporters and importers, while also having a negative impact on foreign investors.
